Learned

I COMPLETELY agree with this post!!!  Over the years of my experiences in taking Literature classes, I've never had a more unexpected class like this one.  You usually walk into a class expecting that it will be what you expect it to be.  In my case, I expected this class to be a typical class where we just read, write papers, and possibly have quizzes.  But NO!! It was quite different, we had several projects where we did group presentations, learned how to create and edit a wiki page, learned about Google Docs, and almost got to wear costumes.  Very unexpected.  We also had NO tests which is very surprising in the college atmosphere. 

I also found the teacher VERY interesting.  He was not like the typical boring and old school teacher that just was uptight and strict about everything.  He had the mindset of the class which was mostly composed of young 20 year olds.  So yes, he was spontaneous and outgoing, not like the average teacher who is mean and doesn't like to crack jokes.  Some of his random remarks such as, "I like dead babies" and his comical opinions on eroticism were quite entertaining in my opinion.

"The most important thing that I will take on with me after this class is the Google Doc and Google Slides. I cant not start to explain how hard it was to do group assignments in the past. You had to do it then email it after and in order to change anything you had to tell them and they would." (Frenz)

I never really thought about Google drive like that.  It took me a while to completely get used to Drive because I used Office growing up.  In Drive, you can share it instantly as opposed to having to compose a message.  There is also a direct message option in case you needed to talk about the project while working on it.  In group projects, direct messages are very important because it can prevent delays if the members are currently involved. 

Class

I've learned many important things in this World Lit class.  We've discussed personal and career topics that may help us in the future.  I really liked how this class was more of a debate/philosophy class rather than a typical paper, essay, quiz, test, and project type English class.  We've discussed many important and beyond our scope topics that would not normally be discussed in a regular conversation.  Just like any normal group, each of us have very different political views that have caused interesting debates in the class.

The most important thing that I have learned is how to create and edit a Wikipedia page.  Wikipedia is the number one go to page that we use for information.  Now that I know how to edit it, I just might research a topic and find a wiki page that could use more information.  Of course, you have to add legit information to a wiki page or else it would get removed and I may get banned.  I can also edit someone's added information in case it was not correct.

I've also enjoyed Google Docs.  In my opinion, it is not as flexible as Microsoft Word.  Docs has the tendency to freeze and crash due to it being directly connected to the internet, which has the tendency to be slow depending on your connection.  The one interesting thing about Docs is the research tool.  You can research the internet while still on Docs to add cites, that is something Word does not have.  But of course, that's what causes the slow connection.  The teacher really made this class interesting as well.  I like his tendency to voice his opinion even though the class had mixed views.    

Struggles

My topic of Metamorphoses was a fairly easy topic to find research on.  Wikipedia really helped me.  But with Wikipedia, you have to be careful with citing it because anyone can add information to a Wikipedia page and make it inaccurate.  Since Wikipedia is reviewed by scholars, I trust that its information is valid.

 "'I've been in quite a slump this whole semester with my core classes, and so, I choose to not work on the assignments on my days off.'" (Hindman).

That's an understatement for me.  Some days where I schedule time for this class, I still slack and do half of what I intended on doing.  I guess because this isn't a class composed of written tests, just papers.  Most days off, I am at the gym then try to work on homework before I go t bed.  That's not a good routine in the long run

Whenever the class seems manageable, procrastination is my biggest problem.  I get home and say, "time for homework", but don't start it until about 3 hours later.  I vowed not to do that this semester.  Work and flag football played a role, but I still could have managed better.  The areas I've stalled in were the posts and workshops.  Anything major such as group projects and individual projects, I've put 100 percent effort in.

Doc 3

What's really slowed me down in this project is the subject I chose to research and write a paper about.  Metamorphoses was a pain in the butt to do a project on.  Since it has religious elements, I have to be careful on what I cite due to different results when I research.  The art of the writing is very difficult to understand on 1st reading.  The writing contains many run on sentences and side stories about another event.  It would take at least two thorough readings of it to understand the overall theme.

I sort of do not like google docs way of citation.  Instead of a references tab like in Microsoft word, there is a research tab.  For some reason, when I tried to research, google docs would slow down and sometimes freeze, becoming unresponsive.  That got very annoying.  But I like how google docs instantly saves documents every minute.  Though it was tedious, I'm glad I chose Metamorphoses as a research project.  After reading it and the data I found, the story became much more understandable and interesting.

This poem by my classmate Ms. Owings is very descriptive in a passionate sense.  I always envy those who can maintain a marriage.  In this day and age, a marriage and even a relationship is a joke.  With social media networks like facebook, instagram, and twitter; its all about popularity.  A lot of us young generation people look at relationships and commitment as a way of becoming popular.  Back during my parents and grandparents times, love was about just two people not everyone knowing to gain stature.  If someone has the passion to write a poem about their marriage, then that relationship is a true one. 

 

Waking up in the morning, time to start a new day,
The sunset is so beautiful on the way to school,
Give glory to God for all the wonderful things he's given,
Go back to bed and start over anew.

 

 

This writing by Mr. Paris is very clever, depending on the time you get up.  To me, it is antagonizing because I am not a morning person.  I am glad to wake up but mornings are not for me.  Because I take forever to fall asleep, in get on average, 5 hours of sleep so when I wake up, I feel like trash.  But in the end, I have to be thankful for waking up because not everyone gets another chance at life.  If it weren't for God, no life on Earth would be possible. 

 

 

 

Candidate

I feel that Ben Carson has the best set of ethical and situational standards as a Presidential Candidate.  His ideas of acceptance is the one thing that stuck out to people who are listening to him.  Him retiring as a Neurosurgeon helped him understand how to make critical decisions in difficult situations.  Though he seems nonchalant about serious situations, it does not mean he can't make tough decisions.  Being a quiet and humble person is often looked at as a person people can push over and take advantage of.  Sometimes, being humble means you are a good listener and care about peoples opinions.  That is critical when it comes to being a leader.

In Machiavelli, it says, "A prudent ruler...cannot and should not observe faith when such observance is to his disadvantage and the causes that made him give his promise have vanished."

Ben Carson is a very diligent and observant speaker.  At the Republican debate, he was constantly hammered and ridiculed by Trump regarding Autism.  Even though he was yelled at over and over again, Carson remained humble and quiet. 

Life's Beauty

One element of me that I found that I enjoy the most is my artistic side.  I have hobbies such as drawing, poetry writing and piano playing.  I just started playing the piano 3 years ago and luckily I was able to catch on and stick to it.  My one joy growing up was writing poetry.  I discovered that talent when I was in 6th grade. 

One of my teachers had me and the rest of her English class write a poem about each of their closest family members.  She read mine and said that I had a talent.  I didn't think so until I kept writing for fun and other students liked it.  I entered a poetry contest 2 years later and I made it to the finals.  All I had to do was submit one more writing and the judges would grade mine against other competitors.  I wrote my poem from my heart, it was about a girl I had a crush on.  My dad read it and said no and told me to write about life and happiness.  I did but felt it wasn't pure, meaning I felt nothing when I read it.  I never heard back from the judges....I was pissed.  If I won, my prize would have been $10,000 in cash.  What teenager wouldn't have wanted that?!

Song

I have a ton of favorite songs, ranging from R&B/Soul, Light Rock, and Alternative.  So choosing one would be very difficult.  I grew up listening to R&B/Soul because my parents have a lot of CDs of that genre so if I HAD to pick one, that would be my favorite.  Artists like Brian McKnight never get too old for me.  I also really like light rock because it has a similar theme of music to R&B/Soul.  Artists like Richard Marx, (even though he his not around) The Fray and John Mayer create music that I enjoy listening to.

But the one song that really strikes me is called "Anytime" by Brian McKnight.  He is a great singer and also a very skilled pianist.  McKnight is one of the only true artists in this day and age.  Growing up, I used to listen to his songs as I wrote most of my poems.  His soft, romance, and heartbreak style of music always gave me ideas when writing.  Here is a poem I wrote 4 years ago...

Literature

Normally in a Lit class, the entire semester is spent reading stories and writing papers.  In my prior Lit class, ENGL 1101, typing papers is all we did the entire semester.  So I thought I wouldn't learn anything new while taking this World Literature class.  This class feels more like a Philosophy class because we have spent a great amount of time talking about religion, politics, and events that happened during ancient times.  We've done several class presentations using Power Point which is normally done in Business courses. 

The one area we have covered that was most interesting was how to create a Wikipedia.  Wiki is used my billions of people around the world for data searches.  Without a class on how to create and use Wikipedia, it is difficult to understand even the easiest aspects of it.  Simply citing or linking a word or paragraph can be confusing without a teaching of it.  This class has taught me how to look at Wikipedia from a learning vision instead of just a reading vision.  I now know how to edit it, but I must be careful when editing any wiki article.  There are wiki pros that have the authority to change my editing or even ban me from wiki for editing that they did not approve of.

I've created my wiki page for a class assignment.  I did it correctly but chose the tough subject.  Metamorphoses, though and interesting piece, was a very testy subject to wiki about.  A lot of information has already been done on it so finding original data on it was slightly difficult.  Hopefully my final grade will be satisfactory.

Hell

Dante views hell as not a threat to him.  He has no fear of it and is not afraid of going there.  He sees hell as a place not for everyone, even if they had an evil soul.  At the gate, not all the souls were accepted.  Hell is normally depicted as a place of suffering, but in Dante's writing, hell is just a place where you go to not see god.  Its described almost like solitary confinement where you are isolated from seeing anyone. 

There is an area in Hell where people are actually punished.  It is called the Second Circle of Hell.  To get access to the circle, you must be allowed to pass into the dark space where voices can be heard. 

Document

I chose to write my document about Metamorphoses.  It is argued that the genre is hard to decide.  I do agree, but it fits well in the genre of epic.  I also found other genres that will suit it, Wisdom Poetry and Speculative Poetry.  Wisdom Poetry involves any piece written or researched by a scholar.  Nikolaas Heinsius the Elder was a Dutch scholar who did research on Metamorphoses.  Speculative Poetry is a piece written completely on speculation.  I'm not saying that Metamorphoses is a complete lie, but since we have no physical proof, especially video, showing that all the events that happened in the tale, I am a little skeptical of it all.  However, I do believe in God.  The line, "some" god is used in the beginning.  If this really was factual, wouldn't Ovid have gotten the god's name or maybe a friend informed Ovid?  Many questions.

I believe that Metamorphoses will be an interesting topic to write about.  The fact that its a creation story brings up several interesting topics to include.  I am going to reread it because there are still some areas I am not completely understanding.  Due to its different writing style, some elements are hard to understand.  Hopefully my paper will be successful.

Opposites

In Daodejing, it seems like Laozi and Confucius have different views on life.  Confucius sees more of a peaceful and respectful approach to life lessons and experiences.  Laozi has a more aggressive viewing of it.  Confucius constantly preaches about life morals and its rewards how humans should know their rights from wrongs and how the man should present himself to society.  He preaches about how men are the ruler of the earth and women should be reminded of their role.  The reading does not describe how the woman should act.  Hopefully she has a positive role.  Laozi focuses more on gaining power and being a ruler.  Laozi fits the dictator role as opposed to the peaceful role in Confucius.

President

Confucius had strong beliefs in moral values and teachings.  I also believe Ben Carson understands people's struggles and life intentions.  One quote that Carson and Confucius have dealt with are relatively similar revolves around treating others with peace.

Master: "The wise find joy on the water, the good find joy in the mountains.  The wise are active, the good are quiet.  The wise are joyful, the good live long."

Carson:  "When people are consumed with hatred and intolerance, I think it clouds their ability to think  clearly."

Both of those quotes are not worded similar, but if you read it thoroughly, they have like meaning.

Finding joy on the water and in the mountains can mean to see everyone as good people before misjudging them.  Carson had a long struggle growing up, from a single parent household to almost going to jail at a young age.  He turned to the bible to help find guidance.  The wise are active and the good are quiet.  Carson was a neurosurgeon and his patience plays a good role in becoming a leader.  He does not try to forcefully overpower his opposition like a dictator, he listens carefully then speaks his part. 

"The wise are joyful".  This part relates to Carson's saying in the ability to think.  When you try to find the wrong in everything and everyone, that creates conflict and prevents any resolution.   Although I respect the aggression of Donald Trump, his ways of listening and cooperating with people can be dangerous in the long run.  Though he is rich and very successful, those do not make him a people person. 

 

Souls

Human life lives forever.  Not physically, but spiritually.  Our souls can never been seen by humans but only by god.  Souls aren't considered ghosts.  Ghosts are the remains of unrested human beings.  They wander the earth searching for the answers that couldn't be found when their bodies were on earth. 

Maybe souls don't exist.  Until I see a soul, I will continue to question that they exist.  I'll never know the answer as they are impossible to spot.  No device allows us to see anything less visible than clean oxygen.  Is there a difference between a soul and a ghost?  I kind of believe that souls are pure and ghosts are evil.  I didn't think of that until I started this post. 

Ghosts are known to scare people.  Souls are thought of as just the remains of a human body.  Do souls go to heaven and ghosts go to hell?  Both are eternal as they remain after the death of the body.  Maybe its all a myth.  When we die, maybe nothing happens.  We'll never know until we die, even when we do, how will we tell those who are still alive?  That is one of the questions in life that will never be answered. 

War

War should be avoided at all costs as the after effects are irreversible.  The intention of war is to kill the main target.  Obstacles cause the attacker(s) to kill people who weren't even involved.  When attacking, the aggressor tends to categorize any individual who looks or acts like the main suspect.  Places like the Middle East are negatively impacted by categorizing.  Unfortunately, the aggression will take many years to calm down meaning more innocent lives will be taken.

Currently, we are in a constant conflict with Syria.  Many terrorist groups reside there.  Syria constantly plans attacks on the U.S. due to our long history of conflicts with them.  Our only smart tactic is match or outsmart them.  Our use of drones is a good tactic as it a way to view them without risk of human lives.  Unfortunately, Syria is also smart when it comes to technology.  Their civilians can create drones just like us.  Recently, the Middle East has come up with a new way of terrorism.  They have found a way to plant bombs inside their own civilians to use them as bombs. 

Human bombs is a tactic that was never expected by any person with logic.  Surgically inserting a bomb into a human with intention of killing a mass crowd is crazy.  Many Syrians have no remorse nor care for U.S. Civilians.  We must constantly monitor their actions before we lose another human to terrorism.  Its going to be a long struggle but a life is worth it.

I agree with overseeing Syrian actions but the risks of it are too great to control.  No one is comfortable with another person spying on them.  Imagine a country watching another country without permission, sort of like eavesdropping on a confidential or extremely personal conversation.  No person, community, leader, and country would enjoy that.  But due to our long struggle with Syria, spying is the only way to prevent an attack.  Sadly, spying causes tension that my worsen the condition of our relationship with Syria.  Overall, a tense relationship is safer than unmonitored activity that can result in more lives lost. 

Sex Change

Waking up a female would be a funny surprise to me.  I would wake up with long hair, breasts, and other things us men normally don't start our day with.  I think I might yell as soon as I wake up because I might not feel how a guy feels when we wake up.   I'd probably pull my hair as hard as I can to see if I can feel pain and check if its attached to my head like a normal female.  I'd probably look around and wonder why my room looks so "mannish". 

I'd do the typical guy routine when getting up.  Way one of doing it:  get up, scratch your butt, fix the wedge, smell your own bad breath for entertainment, brush only, lightly clean your face without soap, put on used clothes from up to a week ago, lie on the couch and watch TV or play video games.  Way two:  lie in the bed for another hour while checking facebook, snapchat, instagram, tinder, kik, and text messages, reply to the female messages IMMEDIATELY, ignore our buddies for another 3 hours, force ourselves to brush our teeth and clean up, no shower, stay in our boxers or wear shorts only, go watch TV and be lazy.  Way three:  stay in bed and play video games for the rest of the day or until forced to get up. 

I think I'd use my female advantages to gain more knowledge on females so when I return to man, I will have them 100% figured out.  As of right now, I currently live with my family so I think they would understand my midnight transformation.  My mom would probably love it the most because she won't be the only female in the house.  I would go to the mall and suggest all the fine girls to the male Dante so when I change back, my phone would be blowing up.  Perfect idea. 

But if this ever did happen, I wouldn't be too surprised.  Sex change is now celebrated in society...(...cough...cough....Caitlyn Jenner.....)  Hopefully the transformation back would be predetermined so that I can record it and put it up on Youtube.  I'd probably be a hit after that.  Bad thing is that I'd have to buy female clothes to avoid looking too much like a tomboy.   

College Changes

College is not an area to waste time in.  I pay out of pocket with costs that don't make sense.  College determines the outcome of my future and I go to achieve that paper work that every employer seeks.  In this day and age, a college education is required even for minimum wage job.  Entry level jobs can only be acquired with college experience as technology is a huge part of every job.  College thoroughly teaches me how to use computers which is now mandatory at every job.  College also requires time and habit changes to adapt to the work, especially if you have a job too.

Back in the spring semester,  I had to make a major change in my time management routine.  I took 5 classes during that semester.  History, English, Psychology, Anatomy & Physiology Lab and A&P Lectures.  Mon and Wed, I had class from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm.  Tues and Thurs, I had class from 8 am to 2 pm.  What made the semester challenging was taking Anatomy and Physiology, the class was Tues and Thurs from 8 am to noon and my job.  I usually worked at 5 pm or 6 pm.  If I was unlucky, I worked at 4 pm.

Anatomy and Physiology was the class that made the semester a real challenge.  One, we had a test every week.  Two, you have to study VERY hard in it.  Three, there are questions that will make your head spin.  Four, with how technical the tests are, failing is NOT an option.  I had to find ways to study not only A&P, but the other subjects like History, that required thorough studying.  My schedule was so busy, especially with work, that I only had time to study two of the five courses.  I made sure I studied A&P everyday.  Terms such as Acetylcholine, Scaphoid, and Triquetrum are words you don't hear everyday and would want to remember for future references. 

All the hard work and schedule changes paid off.  I cut out gym time to one or two days a week to make more time for studies.  I studied as soon as I got home.  Sometimes, I brought my A&P book to work to study during slow shifts.  I never left A&P early like the other students and stayed the full time to study and ask questions.  No room for errors as I took it at G.M.C. College as a transient student, costing me $800 out of pocket.  Failure of that course meant throwing $800 away.

Though the changes were rough and tedious, it all paid off in the end.  I finished with an "A" in A&P, an "A" in Psychology, a "B" in History, and a "B" in English.  I could have gotten all A's but A&P and work really took up most of my time.  I was VERY happy with my final grade in Anatomy as it is my FAVORITE subject.  That is why Occupational Therapy Assisting is my major.  Honestly, I enjoyed the hectic schedule because it taught me how to manage my time and studies properly.  With papers due here, tests coming, quizzes next week, and projects due soon;  I learned how to better utilize my time.  I miss that semester. 

Love Poems

I enjoy the fact that we are starting to talk about things concerning love and feelings.  Love is a very important part of our lives.  It teaches us how to appreciate others and our soul mate.  Love is not always a physical feeling towards another person as it can be written or sang in songs or poems.  Poems and writings are a huge way that people can express it.  Love can also be a very twisted term.  Incest, infidelity, rape, and molestation can be seen as a love feeling by the aggressor.  In the normal person's eyes, those are seen as wrong.  Love is still undetermined to this day as it is something we cannot feel or see, everyone has different opinions on love and it can disappear and reappear in an instance. 

I used to always express my feelings of love through poetry.  I only wrote my pieces if I felt something deep enough.  Here is a sample of an old poem I have written.

Brotherly Pain

Growing up with a brother, you will most likely experience everything together.  Everything from sad times, happy times, hard times, and painful experiences.  Brothers will have each other when the pain is the worst.  Trauma is part of life and it helps us grow and human beings.  Without pain, we will not know how to mature and grow.

My brother and I are dog lovers.  We love every kind of dog that exists.  They are very playful, love to run around, and can be just as respectful as a well raised human being.  When my brother and I were kids, we had our first dog.  His name was Hodgey.  We got that name from a childhood cartoon.  As our 1st dog, we loved him like a brother.  Due to us being little kids, we loved anything  playful and Hodgey with his crazy and wild actions got along with us perfect.  He was so wild that he would scratch us for no reason until we bled.  We still loved him. 

Unfortunately, our parents saw him as too wild, so we had to give him up.  Me and my brother still remember that day like it was yesterday.  We were upstairs looking out the window as we saw our 1st dog leaving in a stranger car.  Of course, we cried like kids. 

Fortunately, having a dog taught us how to care for them.  Being a dog owner at such a young age also developed a sensitive side in me and my brother.  To this day, I still love dogs and all animals.  They can be playful and are adorable.  Someday, I hope to have another dog. 

Eight Year Tragedy

A tragedy is often looked at as a once in a lifetime incident that has effects traumatizing to the victim or victims.  Tragedies are scarring and can have a life lasting effect.  When the word "tragedy" is said, incidents like 9/11, The Oklahoma City Bombing, and Pearl Harbor come to mind.  Those events were devastating  and traumatizing even to people who didn't physically or mentally suffer from them.  I was only 11 years old when 9/11 happened but the visions still sit in my head to this day.

I almost lost my life at 6 months old.  I experienced a fever accumulating up to 105 Fahrenheit.  At such a young age, a baby's part of the brain responsible for controlling temperature, the Hypothalamus, is not completely developed.  That is why fevers and very high temperatures are much more deadly to babies as opposed to older people.  I was rushed to the hospital, my fever got so high that oxygen was cut off to the left part of my brain.  That part of the brain died and scarring formed. 

At age nine, I experienced a very weird and unnatural feeling while playing video games.  I sort of lost consciousness and started feeling tingly.  At first, I thought it was just something like fatigue, but I experienced it again days later.  I eventually went to the doctor and was diagnosed with epilepsy.  I remember crying without control.  Surgery was the ultimate cure but the doctors and my family wanted to avoid it. 

From age 13 to 16,  my life came to a major halt.  Due to strenuous activity causing the seizures, I couldn't play sports or do any physical activity.  But me being a stubborn teenager, I did those anyway.  There were countless times where I would do exercises and pass out in front of everyone.  The waking up part was the worst.  Everyone standing around you and staring, I even had people laugh or imitate me.  Those were traumatizing.  But that's high school for you. 

Many times, I had to leave class early or wake up with spectators.  It affected me away from school too.  My mom used to always cry when she saw me pass out.  I remember one experience when I had a really bad seizure and was rushed to the ER.  My mom was by my side crying helplessly. 

I finally had surgery at age 16, three weeks before my 17th birthday.  Even though my seizures are gone,  those experiences are still traumatizing.  I can't even look at a video of a person having a seizure without feeling guilty.  It would just remind me of myself.  I am VERY VERY blessed that my condition is gone. 

Superwoman

The female race is often forgotten as heroes.  Every time one thinks of a "hero", a male figure comes to their mind.  Wonderwoman is the only female hero that would come to ones mind if asked their opinion about female super heroes.  Due to the male race being naturally physically stronger and more built than females, females have a tendency to be thought of as non super heroes.  Heroes are thought to have super strength and speed.  Males fit that criteria more than women.

In my opinion, women are the biggest heroes of all.  Women give birth to us "men" and females.  They are like the 2nd coming of God.  God created men and women.  Women can create a man or a woman.  If it weren't for my mom or the mom's of anyone who is reading or has read this post, we would not be here today.  Woman also save lives.  When a child is born, the mother nurtures him/her.  Without the mom's care, the child may not grow up healthy and loved.  Us "men" cannot reproduce.  Without the existence of women, me and the other "men" would slowly eradicate off Earth.  We as a human race should continue to uplift women and give them the attention that they need, as there once was and always will be that one woman or women who will continue to give us that same care. 

Homerun

A hero doesn't necessary have to be person that saves lives.  When the general population thinks of hero, they think of Superman or Spider man.  Those are beings with powers beyond normal human capabilities.  Though they are the perfect examples of a hero, they are not the best definition of a hero.  A hero can be someone who touches another human being spiritually and mentally. 

Homer is a good example of the other type of hero.  He was a blind writer who's writing made an impact throughout time.  Homer is considered a hero to many current day philosophers.  His writings "The Odyssey" and "The Iliad" continue to make an impact on literature.  Other writers such as Langston Hughes and J.K. Rowling are considered heroes due to their cultural and fictional writings.    

Hero

My long time hero is my dad.  If it weren't for him, I probably wouldn't be here right now.  Many children grow up without parents.  Some grow up without a dad, some without a mom.  Sadly, some grow up without either parent.  Life is so much more visible with family.  The father is the voice of the house and a child's life can be more focused with a male figure in the house.

My other heroes are my brother and mother.  My brother always helped me in sports when it came to competition.  My mother always understood my problems and saw the good instead of the bad.  I am a gentleman because of her sweet nature.  I wish I wasn't so cold hearted, but I guess I am that way.  All three of them are the only people I need and would not replace them for anyone or anything.

Son Child

The universe is created through the sun and a man and woman create a god child.  He is not exactly the child to a god or gods but his soul creates life.  We had a debate on whether heaven and hell existed.  We decided that there is no heaven and hell.  If we used that then it is just another creation of the life that already exists.  We are looking for originality.

We still have some holes to fill as in our story, some parts are still unanswered.  But we are very confident that our story will be convincing.  The names of the parents and their child is still unknown at this point.  We are very confident that our presentation will be impressive. 

Co-Worker Eroticism

Everyone has that naughty side where they want to sleep with co-workers.  The thought of skipping work and making love in the workplace is hot in many people's minds.  Wondering if you will get caught, how long can each other last and finding a good spot to make love all add thrill to the it.  Work causes stress and having attractive coworkers causes the intent to want the passion.  Hot coworkers + stress = desire to release. 

Some companies allow coworkers to date as there are no rules against work relationships.  Other companies have strict policies against coworker intimacy.  But being around attractive coworkers causes people to give in to the rules.  Attraction over rules is an understatement.  The thrill of not getting caught and sneaking around is always fun.  Love making is always a good stress reliever and when you have an attractive co-worker, many will break the rules.

Eroticism

At first thought, I saw eroticism as only something of physical sexual nature like a couple having sex or a one night stand.  But after thorough discussions in class, I was wrong.  I've seen so many commercials and heard so many jokes and have never thought of them as eroticism.  At those times, I saw eroticism as only sexually pleasurable acts.  Many humorous shows like South Park, Ridiculousness, and Tosh.O have eroticism but in a humorous manner. 

Eroticism can also be writing instead of pictures.  Poetry is one of the popular ways that humans express their sexual attraction to another person.  Writings, in my opinion, can impact a reader more than film.  A writing can be read anytime and any part can be looked over constantly with ease.  As for a movie, it may take longer to find the part that aroused the viewer.  A writing can be held like a treasure also. 

CREATION STORIES

As far as finding a credible creation story, the ones I read have not convinced me that life was created the way the stories indicate.  I have not done any extensive research on either of the theories.  Something as delicate as how humans, animal, and nature requires thorough scientific data for me to completely trust.  However, I do find the theory of humans being made from clay the most interesting.  The skin is delicate like clay and can be different colors like it.

There are several similarities between clay and human.  When humans pass away, they are returned to the ground where clay normally starts.  Whether the human body is buried whole, cremated and buried, or cremated and thrown in the water, the remains return to the ground in someway.  Clay can be molded into anything.  A human being can become anything they want if placed in the right conditions. 

The Maori story is very similar to real life events.  They separated heaven and earth and may have seen earth as hell.  We have separation of heaven and hell, with of course hell being as it is.  God and Satan separated and created heaven and hell with Satan trying to get revenge on God.  God of course, seeks no revenge from Satan and only wants purity from him.
